A former driver, now retired, he can now dedicate himself full time to his great passion cultivated for years in his private life, as a hobby, in the little free time available. His initial passion was for photography, in general, but he was hired, for his photographic style, in 1989 by a professional photographer who follows cycling competitions, in all its variations. The photographer and Renato Garbin have shared a passion for cycling for years and have known each other for a very long time, so it was necessary to dedicate and combine the passion for cycling with that of photography for both of them. There were many front pages in local newspapers, even for professional competitions. He very often followed the photographer Benati in races in Northern Italy.

At the same time, his passion for music also emerged, so in the evening he attended various local concerts. In 1994 he met Simone Tomassini, a young singer-songwriter from Como, following him in his artistic activities, before and after his participation in Sanremo, in 2004, as an official photographer, with covers and posters created, to his credit. The main job changes everything, with very early hours and long journeys, forcing Renato Garbin to reduce his evening outings for concerts, but the artists' circle is increasingly expanding and commitments are increasing accordingly, even if limited to holidays and pre-holidays.

He began collaborating with event organizers who have their own sites, publishing photos, but also video interviews taken at concerts. He was subsequently contacted by Alessia Marani, owner and director of Progetto Almax, with Almax Magazine, to publish interviews and photographic kits of artists, given that the monthly web magazine deals with every form of art. Subsequently Renato Garbin will also take care of video graphics, video interviews, hosting and co-hosting of programs with videoconference interviews, as well as directly at concerts.

His main job suddenly leaves him alone and he is forced, for economic reasons, to emigrate to his wife's town in Sicily, to Milo. Within about a year, he was noticed and invited to a local television station in Catania, but with 18 editorial offices around the world, Globus Magazine. In that context, as well as with Progetto Almax, which he then manages to bring together in partnership, he continues his activity as a photo/video reporter, interviews and the hosting of two television programmes, one relating to cycling (Cycling a Concert on Two Wheels) and, in the wake of an artistic program discontinued from the Globus Television schedules, also one, in full autonomy, always of musical inspiration, with "Musicando il Ritmo della Città", originally conceived by the Sicilian singer-songwriter Alberto Bucchieri and then adapted, in his own way , by Renato Garbin. Many interviews with famous people in the entertainment industry under his belt, visible on You Tube, on the Channel, precisely under the name Renato Garbin. The collaboration with this Catania TV station ends in 2017/18, but our activity continues, once he reaches retirement, with Almax Channel, both for the Magazine, being able to dedicate more available time, creating the covers, as well as the articles for internally, but trying, in particular, to perfect Almax Channel, with some programs always dedicated to the artistic world, made on video.

Finally, here we are at the meeting with Marino Rolfi, a well-known chef at the time who had also participated in Rai broadcasts. Alessia and Renato welcomed him as friends and interviewed him together. Renato conducted an interview while away in Marino, alone, also at a Radio headquarters in Cinisello Balsamo, which granted them a studio.

Marino Rolfi then decided to launch himself into the adventure of creating his own web TV and Renato willingly accepted this beautiful collaboration and here he is, therefore, dealing with the commitments that this new reality entails, with co-management, but also self-hosting of some programmes, taking care of post-production direction, with various editing and graphics, acronyms and so on, of recorded connections with various personalities from the entertainment world and the world of entrepreneurship.
